Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2017 BMW X5, we're gonna be showing you how to install the etrailer.com 7-way Upgrade kit. But before we get into that, let's take a minute, check this out and make sure it'll work for you. So what this kit is going to do is give us a 7-way round style connector and it's also gonna have a 4-way flat on it too. So that's pretty cool regardless of what trailer you got if it has a seven or four it'll be able to hook right up to it. You won't have to bother with an adapter or anything. more

And as you can see or not see, the stealth hitch lives up to its name. And the way it does that, is it's actually located under here. And when you wanna hook a up your accessories, you simply can take your receiver tube or your ball mount if you have the towing package and it's simply gonna clip into place, it's gonna be nice and secure, and you can lock it as well. And that's exactly what we're doing today on our 2020 BMW X5. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Stealth trailer hitch receiver with the towing kit.If it we're me and I had a BMW and I wanted to tow a trailer or use some accessories, I would honestly be pretty concerned with how a hitch would look on the back of it, because got a really good looking vehicle. You really don't want a big hitch hanging down below here taking up a bunch of space, and every time you look at it, you just see an eyesore. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2001 BMW X5- Video
Today on this 2001 BMW X5 we are going to install part number 119190. We are also going to use part number 118151 and that is going to be the install kit. The first step is to get inside the vehicle because that is where the wiring harness is and basically what we are going to do next is remove the interior panel before we can get to the wiring itself. We are going to take out the two side panels. The first thing we are going to do is find a wire harness that actually goes directly into the tail light and there is a socket that goes into it so disconnect that, there is a little tab right in the middle. 00:35 more
